The garden at Fir Trees was an absolute delight. It felt like stepping into a picturesque oasis, where I could relax and unwind surrounded by nature's beauty. It was the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or a leisurely stroll, making me feel as if I were in my own private paradise.

The location was off the charts - we could cycle to the lake and explore the badass trails nearby. The house was so sick, especially the garden for chillin' and BBQin'. And guess what? There was secretly parking for our ride, even though they didn't advertise it! The laundry room was legit useful and saved us from smelling like wet dogs. Best vacay ever!
Alright, so here's the thing. As party animals, we wish there was a banging sound system in the house.

The location was amazing, just a short stroll away from a bustling area with plenty of things to do and explore. The surroundings of the property were lovely, clean, and peaceful. The rooms were comfortable and the communal spaces were great for hanging out and having fun with the family. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden, where we had a fantastic BBQ and stargazing experience. the DVD collection provided entertainment for everyone, even if they didn't appreciate Shrek as much as we did!
There were a couple of minor issues we encountered during our stay. The shower in the main bathroom was a bit awkward to use, as you ended up with your face in the shower curtain and water splashed onto the floor.

Last year, we stayed at Fir Trees Villa, so it was our first choice when we returned to the Lakes. It is in a fantastic location, close to the car ferry and walking/biking trails. the house is spacious with plenty of storage and a laundry room. the private garden with BBQ and seating was perfect, and we enjoyed using the hose pipe to wash down our bikes. the walk to Bowness through Cockshott Bay is delightful, and there is a convenient cafe nearby. a great place for a family stay with everything we needed. Cons: Everything is what I need and want. 😊.

The room at Fir Trees in Windermere was absolutely cozy and inviting. It made me feel like I was staying at a rustic cabin in the woods. I loved the warm colors and the comfortable furniture. It was the perfect place for me to relax after a long day of work.
The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the lack of a bathtub. But hey, some people prefer showers, so it's just my personal preference.

I recently stayed at a fantastic home in Windermere called Fir Trees. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk from Lake Windermere and a short stroll to the shops and restaurants in Bowness. The house itself was spacious and modern, with three double beds and one single, making it ideal for a family. The living area and kitchen were well-equipped, and the high-speed wifi and variety of apps on the TV were a nice bonus. The private yard was a highlight, with BBQ facilities and plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors. Parking was ample, which is always a plus. Fir Trees is a clean, well-set up house in a great location, and I highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Windermere.

The location was perfect for us party-loving teens. We cycled like maniacs around Windermere and even found this sick trail to Wray Castle. The house was huge, with plenty of space to chill and a rad garden with a BBQ for our wild summer nights. Highly recommended for young thrill-seekers!
The only thing that would have made our stay even more lit would be if there was a wicked sound system in the house. Imagine blasting our favorite tunes while chilling in the garden or having a pre-game in the living room.

The common areas were spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing and spending time with family. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. There were no steep stairs or difficult obstacles to navigate, making it easy for me to move around and enjoy my vacation.
I would have liked to have more assistance from the staff in catering to the needs of senior people.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the hotel. From the comfortable chairs in the lounge to the beautiful artwork on the walls, it felt like a home away from home. The hotel's general areas were clean and well-maintained, making it easy for me to navigate around as a senior. The accessibility for senior people was excellent, with spacious hallways and handrails in the bathrooms to ensure safety and ease of movement.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there. A little extra help with carrying luggage or offering assistance with any specific needs for senior guests would have made the vacation even better.
